Our Mission
The Truman State University Homecoming Committee is dedicated to providing the students, faculty, and staff of the University and Kirksville community with one week of fun and entertaining events that celebrates the culture of our school. We are committed to instilling a sense of pride and unity among our students while promoting school spirit and at the same time we try to coordinate events, activities and initiatives that will keep alumni and their college connected. The Committee strives to foster and support communication between every class that has graduated from Truman over the years and to be proactive in keeping the spirit of Homecoming that was fostered long ago.
Each year during Homecoming hundreds of Truman Alumni come back to campus to rekindle friendships and renew ties to their school. All alumni and guests are invited to come back home, share traditions, visit former classmates, remember their days at the University, and see first hand how their alma mater has grown.
Homecoming is designed to serve the purpose of linking the past, present, and future through various formal and informal events involving alumni form all walks of life, current students, faculty, staff, parents, prospective students, and the entire Kirksville community. We are devoted to keeping and building on the tradition from past years, as well as leaving lasting memories.
